If you know my work, you’ve seen me discuss the racism directed towards Mexican people in this clip from Live at Gotham or the ignorant support of Arizona’s immigration bill SB 1070 at the end ofthis clip from my Comedy Central Presents special.

However, the issues are much bigger than just racism targeted at specific groups and discriminatory state laws. Our immigration system is built to dehumanize immigrants and make profits for corporations. I don’t think anything illustrates this more than the private immigrant detention centers that exist around the country and that most Americans know very little about. I made my morning TV talk show debut today on King 5′s “New Day Northwest” in Seattle to promote my show this Friday May 6th at the Kirkland Performance Center.

The Untitled Kondabolu Brothers Project (UKBP) returns to New York City this Monday May 2nd at 8pm at The People’s Improv Theater’s (PIT) new location, 123 East 24th Street.

As a result of Ashok’s duties as hypeman for Das Racist and my constant touring, it’s been 6 months since our last show together in New York. We’re particularly excited about this show because our special guest will be pioneering Indian-American actor Ajay Naidu (Office Space, Ashes, Bored to Death).
